Songs for the Journey
Songs for the Journey was released in December of 2001.
It is a magical, hope-filled collection of spiritual, inspirational healing music. The music is wonderfully varied from ballad to Dixie, jazz, folk, Latin and gospel.
This album celebrates all of us. It reminds us to be who we are, to claim ourselves, dream our dreams. Be a light, a truth, a “somebody” in the world.
The songs remind us to live fully, bravely, caringly in this world of uncertainty.
Songs for the Journey is an outstretched hand, a comfort, a ray of hope when navigating troubled waters.

I’m Tired of These ‘Life-lessons
This tender and poignant, yet humorous song is sung in a great jazz and scatting style.
Angels Watching
A wonderful ¾ time, Gaelic sound honoring the gifts of angels to us.
We Are Each a Miracle
I wrote this, holding in my heart and thoughts women with cancer and having survived cancer. But it is a tribute to each of us.
We’re a Child of God
This song praises God’s love and presence in a great New Orleans Dixie sound and style.
Walking Inside of Me
A soft, reflective ballad about life and growing.
Free, Walking in My Skin
A great 60’s folk sound about claiming who we are, dreaming our dreams, being a light, a truth, a “somebody” in the world.
Women, Bless and Heal
A wonderful African rhythm—a song that reminds us in sorrow and sadness, brokenness and disappointment to carry our light, to carry our drums and herbs. Women, bless and heal.
Hug a Tree
You are transported into the presence and sound of a forest. A very beautiful ballad honoring these precious green beings.
Where Is the Land?
This song starts with a slowly haunting drum and percussion and Native American sounds, asking where is the land, and where are the people who lived here? And it progresses to a high energy, upbeat rhythm and sound with the last lines being, “We can make our world a world of love and peace, a world shining God’s love, an earth well and alive, a world of love and peace.”
Healing Within
A stunningly beautiful melodic ballad. I wrote this for a friend with cancer to buoy her spirits and strengthen her heart.
God, Who Are You?
This, also, is a strikingly beautiful melodic ballad. I can only say that I hope this song touches each heart in whatever perfect way it is to be touched.
Mary, Full of God
A tender, easy swaying, Latin, calypso rhythm that honors Mary in a litany, (a prayer form of invocations followed by the response, “pray for us”).
We Are Sisters, We Are Brothers
A full-throttle gospel song! Fabulous!
